...the band had their first practice in January, 1980 with Kevin on guitar and lead vocals, Steve on bass, Tom Munist on drums and his brother Dim Menace (the skinhead on the cover of 'Skins, Brains & Guts') on lead vocals. Troy joined in 1982.

"Who Is Reuben?"

Reuben is the name of that funny looking little bald guy the band uses on album covers and flyers. Kev drew and used him as early as 1982. he's sort of the band's mascot and spiritual guru.

Dweebs (ill-fated CBS show, one of its "stars" wore a t-shirt throughout an episode)

Seasons Of Life (a PBS special about a punk rock runaway. the band appears briefly, playing live in Pittsburgh).

actually, it was Thurston Moore along with Mike Watt, Dez Cadena and others. it can be heard on a video of live Sonic Youth footage called 'Skeeno H.C.'.

Down By Law, Unwritten Law, Warzone, Black Train Jack, Battery, Far, White Flag, Necromancy, Spazz & Tripping Daisy.


"Are There Any Hardcore/Punk Bands (Past Or Present) 7Seconds HASN'T Played With?"

um, yeah: the Effigies, Rancid, Pennywise, SSD, Fugazi, the Misfits (though we almost did in Idaho), Earth Crisis, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, Sham 69, the Ramones, Sick Of It All and Rites Of Spring.


"What Are/Were Some Of The Band's Favorite Bands To Play With?"

Minor Threat, Black Flag, D.O.A., Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Operation Ivy, Token Entry, Verbal Assault, Bouncing Souls, Shades Apart, Skankin' Pickle, Civ, Big Drill Car, Down By Law, Far, Quicksand, Slapstick, H20 and GameFace.


"Has Steve And Troy Ever Been In Any Other Bands?"

Steve played bass in the infamous Reno hardcore band Jackshit (7" on Squirtdown Recs and cut on 'We Got Power' comp) and Troy played drums and sang in the great Urban Assault (some tapes and cuts on 'Not So Quiet On The Western Front' and 'We Got Power' comps).


Dumb 7Seconds Jokes:

Q: Why do 7Seconds fans put O's on the back of their hands instead of X's at 7Seconds shows?

A: So that they can remember the choruses.
